NAME

cd — change the current directory

SYNOPSIS

cd [directory]

DESCRIPTION

Change directory to the named directory. If no directory is supplied the shell's current directory is set to the user's home directory which is specified by the property user.home .

EXAMPLE

% cd /cf0

Change the current directory to /cf0 (the compact flash).
